Sponsored Seat Terms
These terms cover sponsors of every kind. A mortgage lender or loan originator sponsors under the Lender Partner Program Terms as well, which add the co-branded header, the standardized financing box, the pod analytics view, and the closed list of seat-reassignment reasons.
These terms govern any arrangement in which a person or business (the Sponsor) pays RMA for a membership seat used by someone else (the Member). They supplement the Terms of Service, which the Member accepts on their own account.
1. What a sponsored seat is
- The Sponsor pays RMA the monthly price of a tier (Practice, Toolkit, The Academy, or Mastery, as the program allows) for a fixed term, in advance or monthly, for one named Member.
- The Member holds their own account, accepts the Terms of Service themselves, owns their data, and is the only person with access to it.
- The seat is a gift of education from the Sponsor to the Member. RMA's only role is to deliver the coaching.
2. What the Sponsor receives
- Confirmation that the Member was seated and the term dates.
- On request, a general engagement statement: whether the Member is checking in and completing modules, in general terms.
- Nothing else, with one exception. A lender Sponsor under the Lender Partner Program also receives the pod-level analytics view defined in Section 6 of those terms, never an individual Member's figures. No Sponsor of any kind receives a Member's check-in text, money-tool data, individual pipeline, clients, transactions, closings, loan or lender activity, Huddle activity, or Academy submissions, and RMA does not report "transactions served," "families served," "referrals," or any measure of business a Member sends to anyone.
3. No referral condition
- A sponsored seat is not conditioned on, and creates no expectation of, the Member referring clients, loans, listings, or any other business to the Sponsor, and no expectation of any business relationship between them at all.
- The Sponsor represents that it is not providing the seat in exchange for, or with the understanding that it will receive, referrals of settlement-service business, and that the arrangement complies with the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (12 U.S.C. § 2607), Regulation X (12 C.F.R. § 1024.14), the Member's state real estate license law, and the Sponsor's own regulatory obligations.
- RMA will not track, report, or reward any referral between a Member and a Sponsor.
4. Who may sponsor
- Brokerages, teams, and associations sponsoring their own agents or members: yes.
- Individuals (family, friends, mentors): yes.
- Mortgage lenders and loan originators: under the Lender Partner Program Terms, which the lender accepts at pod checkout, on the Section 2 and 3 terms plus what those terms add. RMA's counsel has reviewed that program's structure.
- Title and settlement companies, home warranty, inspection, insurance, and other settlement-service providers: not accepted.
5. Member's choices
- The Member may decline a sponsored seat or leave the program at any time; the Member's data is never shared with the Sponsor as a result.
- Before a lender-sponsored seat activates, the Member is shown the Sponsor's identity and Section 6 of the Lender Partner Program Terms and accepts or declines; declining changes nothing about the Member's account.
- Before the term ends the Member is told the date and asked whether they want to continue on their own subscription. Nothing is charged to the Member unless the Member completes their own checkout and agrees to the automatic-renewal terms. If the Member does not subscribe, the account returns to The Daily (free).
- The Member may reach the Sponsor only through channels the Member chooses; RMA does not connect them.
6. Payment, cancellation, and refunds for Sponsors
- Sponsorship fees are billed to the Sponsor by invoice or by a Stripe checkout in the Sponsor's name and are for a fixed term; they do not auto-renew unless the Sponsor separately subscribes to a recurring sponsorship and consents to renewal terms at that time.
- If the Member leaves RMA during the term, the unused whole months are refunded to the Sponsor or applied to another named Member at the Sponsor's choice.
- Otherwise sponsorship fees are non-refundable.
7. Sponsor conduct
The Sponsor will not represent itself as affiliated with RMA, use RMA's marks without written permission, contact Members through RMA, or ask RMA for Member data beyond Section 2. RMA may end a sponsorship and refund unused months if the Sponsor breaches these terms.
8. Program size and changes
RMA may cap the number of sponsored seats, change tiers eligible for sponsorship, and update these terms on notice to Sponsors with active seats.
